Joshua Tree

Where the Mojave and Colorado deserts converge in southern California, Joshua Tree's twisted namesake trees and ancient boulder formations create a landscape of haunting, alien beauty. The park is celebrated for its extraordinary dark skies — a pilgrimage destination for astrophotographers. At dusk the boulders glow amber, and after midnight the Milky Way arcs over the silhouettes of the trees in total silence.
